My research interests include cold climate geomorphology, geochronology, and landscape reconstruction. I am currently involved with research on sub-Antarctic Marion Island and Gough Island, reconstructing Southern Hemisphere landscape-climate interactions of the Quaternary. I also dabble in geoheritage and the use of immersive technologies (like virtual reality) in geo-education.

Dr Tammy Morris

I am a physical oceanographer specialising in in situ ocean observations. As such I have a keen interest in the technologies used to measure the ocean. My primary focus of research now extends to boundary currents, particularly western boundary currents such as the Agulhas Current, and how these dynamic systems impact coastal regions and ultimately society.

I have founded and lead the Polar Engineering Research Group of the University of Cape Town since 2016. The group has been studying the impact of global warming on the Antarctic cryosphere, with a particular focus on sea ice and shelf ice dynamics.

Research Coordinator: Long-term Observations on Land (LTO-Land) Integrated Facility
My research focus is Periglacial Aeolian Geomorphology and Interactions with the changing climate. I have extensive fieldwork experience in the sub-Antarctic region and currently a Principle Investigator on the Long-term Observations of Seabirds and Marine Mammals on Marion Island within the South African National Antarctic Programme (SANAP).
Dr Anne M Treasure
Data, Products and Society Integrated Facility Manager
Anne has a background in the life sciences, predominantly in academic polar research spanning both the terrestrial and oceanographic sciences as well as the links between them. She has a diversity of expertise in data and information management, open science, reproducible research, data analytics and visualisation, data pipeline and workflow development, and project management, and a strong dedication to capacity development through training and mentorship.
