Prof. David William Hedding, Professor at the University of South Africa (UNISA)
I am a Geographer with specialisation in Geomorphology and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Currently, I am a Professor in the Department of Geography at the University of South Africa, the largest Open Distance (e)Learning institution in Africa with approximately 350 000 students. I have also lectured at other contact/residential universities in South Africa.
My primary research focuses on landscape responses to climate change, landscape evolution over geological timescales, and periglacial processes and landforms in the sub-Antarctic and Antarctic region. I also conduct research on soil erosion by wind and water as well as rock decay.
